Ex Government Print bookbinder and teacher, Jill Rose will demonstrate the rudiments of case binding for limited editions and personal projects in this one-day practical workshop. The WCBA's bindery was formerly in the library at Parliament and is well equipped.

The course commences by constructing the book block with section folding and sewing, followed by making of the case, lettering by hand or foiling machine and casing in. Participants will be able to further practise their skills binding the centre's first book project, The Wairau Catastrophe.

For more details on the project, visit the official website.

Cost: $140 (less 10% for members). Places are limited and can only be confirmed by payment.
