Discover the process of cast glass in this 1 & 1/2 day workshop. A great introduction and suitable for beginners. You will learn techniques creating simple forms for an open cast mould that will go into the kiln.

Day 1: Saturday 15th February 10am - 4.30pm

Form
You will be introduced to press printing using clay, exploring with different textures, then making forms that are suitable for open casting, you will learn how to make a refractory mould for the kiln.

Cast
Glass moulds will be fired in a kiln during the week for your return the following weekend.

Day 2/half day: Saturday 22nd February 10am - 1pm

Finish
You will reveal your glass from the mould and learn simple finishing techniques for your glass object
The finished glass piece will be a small one of a kind sculpture to take home.

Materials: Price includes all materials, 1/2 kg of glass and the kiln firing.
5 people maximum.
