Castlepoint Fishing Competition 2020

The Castlepoint Fishing Club INC is holding their 25th Annual Fishing competition on 10 and 11 January 2020.

With both boat-based and land-based fishing options, the event provides plenty of opportunities to win great prizes. Among the big prizes is $1000 cash for The Professionals Heaviest Kahawai, $1000 cash for the enablebusiness Heaviest Snapper and a $1000 Bunnings Warehouse prize package for the heaviest Tuna. There will also b a huge amount of spot prizes and raffles to be won.

If you're looking for something to do with the kids in the holidays, the Castlepoint Fishing Competition is a family-friendly event. There is a special section for children 12 and under with a kid’s competition held at the lagoon 10am until midday on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th ($5 per entry). There is also a special youth prize for children up to 16 years who are registered in the major competition for the most different species caught.

Registration is held from 4pm to 9pm at the community hall on 9 January. On January 10 and 11, registration will take place on the beach ($40 entry fee at time of registration).
