Ceilidh is simply a Celtic word for gathering. Normally of a celebratory nature, and more often than not, includes music and dancing.
We have a superbly talented group of Celtic musicians ( from the NZ Gaidhealtachd - Celtic Summer School) who will play for a wide variety of dances from many of the Celtic nations including, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and more.
You do not need any prior knowledge or be a dancer as all the dances are ‘called’ (Explained and walked through) by our wonderfully chilled dance callers. This is really a fun and informal evening to enjoy with friends.
