Che Fu

Pioneer of NZ Hip-Hop and Pasifika music Che Fu will be hitting our shores on the Kapiti Coast for one exclusive solo show at Kapiti's own Tuatara Brewery!!

Che Fu is a New Zealand Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae artist, Songwriter and Producer. Che is a founding member of the band Supergroove who had the smash hit "Sitting Inside My Head".
As a solo artist with his Kiwi classics hits "Fade Away" and "Misty Frequencies" to name a few, Che Fu is one of the best-selling hip hop acts to ever come out of New Zealand and has gone on to sell thousands of albums both in New Zealand and internationally, with two multi-platinum albums and two that went gold. Che Fu broke through in the 90's with a run of massive hits and effectively paved the way for the golden years of local rap that would follow in the mid-00s.

Che Fu will be performing at the Tap Room with support from fast rising Kapiti boy, Will McClean who delivers an alternative style to Hip-Hop with a stage presence that will keep you vibing!
Will McClean has been grinding in a basement working out his place in this world with the help of a pen, paper and some words.

Also joining him is Zimbabwean born, Wellington raised Waguan.
Waguan is bringing a new and potent energy to the music industry in NZ.

Growing up listening to Afro Gospel and Rap here in NZ gives Waguan a unique inner monologue that he is hoping to share a piece of with his listeners.

Both of these young up and coming Wellington artists share the same passion and drive to stick to their roots and put Wellington Hip-Hop on the map!
