Children’s Day is a special day set aside to celebrate children. It is a popular annual event for all children and families that celebrates the message that children should be treasured. Many countries in the world celebrate Children's Day and New Zealand is one of them.
In New Zealand Children’s Day is always on the first Sunday of March each year. On this day, New Zealand comes alive with activities and events designed to bring families together and show how important children are in our community.
Come down with your picnic lunch and enjoy all the free children’s activities. This year, the event includes the performing arts, crafts, demonstrations, sports, activities and games.
Getting there is easy, just catch the orange line bus to avoid all the hassle of traffic. If you need to bring a car the car park can be accessed from Mundys road.
