Premium Italian beer brand Peroni Nastro Azzurro invites you to Cinema Peroni 2020; a coveted al fresco cinematic experience showcasing the best of Italian film, food, and drinks.
Set under the stars of Britomart’s Takutai Square, you’ll be treated to a private screening of Cannes Film Festival award winning film Happy As Lazzaro, selected by Peroni partner Rialto Channel – with refreshing Peroni and Aperitivo on arrival, followed by a three-course meal by Amano Executive Chef Andrew Hanson served to your seat as the drama unfolds on the big screen.
Awarded Best Screenplay at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Alice Rohrwacher’s Happy as Lazzaro follows the forming of an unlikely bond between peasant Lazzaro and imaginative nobleman Tancredi, as Tancredi convinces Lazzaro to help orchestrate his own kidnapping. Viewers are left guessing until a noteworthy pivot in the film that has been hailed for its ambition and time-bending magical realism.
Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend. Tickets are limited and include entry, film screening, a Peroni and Aperitivo on arrival, and a three-course meal. Additional drinks will be available to purchase from the Peroni bar. This event is weather permitting and will not be postponed, with a full refund to be issued in the event of cancellation. *Featuring an Italian-inspired fit-out set amongst Britomart’s buzzing atmosphere, Cinema Peroni in Takutai Square will be the place to be in mid-March. The Square will be open to all (with valid form of ID, tickets not required) from Wednesday 11th March until Saturday 14th March between 4pm and 6.30pm, with Peroni available to purchase from the bar, complimentary Aperitivo and live music in the sun. Additionally, those in the Square between 12pm and 2pm will be able to enjoy a complimentary sample of Peroni Libera, Peroni’s first zero alcohol beer.
