Wine Sentience

On Wednesday 4th March, we are thrilled to have the talented Charlotte Krajewski, Technical Director of her family’s St.-Emilion Grand Cru estate Clos Cantenac in Wellington to present her latest vintage.

In honour of this rare opportunity, we have worked with Logan Brown - Cuisine Good Food Guide’s Best Metropolitan Restaurant of 2019 - to showcase the wines across four sumptuous courses. There will be nine wines shown from four vintages, including a sneak preview of the monumental 2019 reds from barrel. This is a chance to see the wines before the critics do at en-primeur tastings. Seats are very limited, as we want to maintain an intimate atmosphere with Charlotte, so book early to secure your spot.

About Clos Cantenac:
Clos Cantenac is a small but seductive 6 hectares property near to the St.-Emilion railway station on an exceptional "terroir" of deep gravel, sand and clay over limestone situated close to the pre-historic "Megalith de Pierrefitte". The estate has a long history, being owned by the same family for nearly 200 years until its last vintage in 1982.

Thereafter, it fell to neglect until it was purchased in 2007 by Charlotte’s family along with a close family friend, who is from New Zealand. Since then, it and its two stablemates, Petit Cantenac and the tiny Pomerol estate of Seraphiné have been heavily lauded by critics and Bordeaux watchers.
