Anthony Powell

Antarctica photography talk by Anthony Powell.
Anthony has been regularly working in Antarctica since 1998, and has wintered over there 10 times. He created the multi-award winning film Antarctica: A Year On Ice, and has had his work in numerous shows and exhibits including BBC's Frozen Planet series, National Geographic, Discovery, US Natural History Museum, and many more.
Anthony will talk about his journey to becoming a full time Photographer and Filmmaker, the equipment he uses, and the trail and error needed to figure out how to photograph reliably on the coldest continent. A Q+A session will follow.

The talk will take place in the Pumanawa Gallery at the Arts Centre where Anthony will have his ongoing photo exhibit and charity auction for the "Days of Ice" festival. Entry is free for the talk but seating is limited, so please book a seat to ensure your spot.
