Tauranga Jazz Society’s top priority is the health and safety of our audience, artists, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community. Following the recommendation of the New Zealand government and public health officials we regretfully announce, the 58th National Jazz Festival has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. This event is cancelled.
Tauranga City comes alive with jazz!
Downtown Tauranga is the place to be this Easter. Gather together and celebrate a diverse assortment of jazz, funk, and blues with multiple stages along the Strand from 12pm-6pm.
Located amidst dozens of fine bars and restaurants with the sparkling waters of Tauranga Moana as a backdrop, the Downtown Carnival is a popular choice if you want to spend a relaxing day experiencing the harbour, city shops and great festival music.
Remember to bring your dancing shoes!

Saturday's fun begins with a Vintage Car Parade and strolling musicians down Willow Street at 11am. See the cars on display in Spring St until 1pm
Get in early on Sunday to the Little Big Market art and crafts stalls from 10am-2pm.
Fun for children with rides at Masonic Park from 11-6pm.
Fun for all the family! Gold coin donation entry - children under 14 free.
