Embodied - Issie Cassidy and Tempo Dance Festival

This is a painting exhibition that will be displayed on the Tempo Dance Festival Website

"Embodied" is a series that aims to capture the expressive power of dance through the seemingly static art from of painting. The series will take place over 4 days and allow viewers to take a closer look in to the creation process through videos and images taken during the process.

Issie Cassidy is a freelance dancer and painter from Auckland. She graduated with a degree in Contemporary Dance from Unitec in 2019. Issie continued cultivating her passion for painting alongside her studies, and exhibited her work in the MAGS fine art show annually from 2017-2019. This is Issie’s first project with Tempo.
