Exhibition The Silent Unseen and Resistance now on.

Cichociemni (the Silent and Unseen) were elite special-operations paratroopers of the Polish Army in exile, created in Great Britain during World War II to operate in occupied Poland. The first operation, known as ‘air bridge’, took place on 15 February 1941.

Many of the Cichociemni became leaders of the Polish Underground Army. See gripping photographs of this resistance force in operation as part of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.
