A great family weekend of traditional sports and entertainment and it’s free.

The Games attract top competitors from New Zealand, Australia and this year Europe as well. You can expect to see several national and world champions battling for the prestigious titles at the Ford Ranger New Zealand Rural Games.

From sheep shearing, speed fencing, speed tree climbing through to wood chopping, highland heavies, Russian egg roulette, gumboot throwing and egg throw and catch and so much more.

Kids ‘n Country provides a host of fun events over both days to keep under-12s active and entertained - some great spot prizes to be won.

Have a Go events are there for you and your mates or colleagues to try out a sport that built our nation - who knows, you might go home a New Zealand Champion.

A Farmer's Market is on site for your enjoyment.
