Foundational Burlesque 101

This class will take you “back stage” behind the sparkly curtain and give you a taste of what #burlylife is like and the opportunity to learn basic skills.

This class is for you if you want to increase your confidence, increase your income or change your life. Yes, burlesque is that magical. In these 4 weekly classes I will teach you the key moves. The outcome will be: an increase in your confidence and a contribution to ideas to empower your experience as a performer if you choose to go on with the next level.

In 101 you learn:
- The power of the peel: glove and stocking peels from by gone eras
- The power of the strut and owning it
- The joy of shimmying
- Herstory: the history of burlesque
- Stage names and personality
- Advanced class and what it will give you

Hoodie and gym pants are what are required for this class. If you don't have a hoodie, there are ones you can borrow. This sets you up for the next class 102 Foundation Burlesque.
