From Skin Cell to Brain Cells

Dr Indranil Basak will speak about his previous experience in Parkinson's disease and his current work focusing on the childhood brain condition, Batten disease.

He is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Otago who works with Associate Professor Stephanie Hughes on childhood brain disease. Dr Basak moved to New Zealand in June 2018, after completing his first postdoctoral work at the University of Utah, USA.
