Let your freak on in this fun Friday night boogie fest with the fabulously talented Rebekkah Schoonbeek. Dance like nobody’s watching and master new moves as you groove to funk, disco and retro tunes …

A high energy cardio class that includes music and moves from the 70’s and 80’s. Dress up and get ready to “DANCE” in this fun online class.

This class is free, or koha donation, but you need to register to be sent the Zoom link.

Tutor Rebekkah Schoonbeek
An in-demand professional dancer, choreographer, singer and actress, Rebekkah trained in Auckland and New York at Broadway Dance Centre. She is the Co-Artistic Director of the popular Night of the Queer, staged at TAPAC annually for Auckland Pride Festival. Rebekkah has appeared on X-Factor and Jono & Ben and in multiple music videos (Marlon Williams, Stan Walker). She has performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the hit show Two Hearts. In 2019 she performed in Shortland Street: The Musical and featured on the original cast recording album. Her theatre credits include Pleasuredome the Musical, Chicago, Artemis, Gifted, Anything Goes and 42nd Street. Rebekkah has danced for many live events and has choreographed and danced for a number of festivals, including Tempo, Short + Sweet, where she received the ‘Stand out Female Performer Award’ in 2015. In 2016 she completed a residency at the Banff Arts Centre in Canada. Rebekkah is an experienced dance educator and has created curricula for several institutions. Her choreography work includes creating for musicals such as We Will Rock You and West Side Story.
