Rediscover the joy of connecting with nature as well as tips and tricks from our expert Otaki veggie growers Prema and Nava.

If you want more from your garden, these workshops are for you. Find out how to get more fun, freedom and food from your piece of green. Learn how to grow your own veggies and herbs, how to make your own compost, and how easy it is to get started with whatever space you have.

In these hands-on workshop you will learn about seasonal growing, indoor and outdoor eatables, what you can grow all year round. Discover how to get your own garden started, what you’ll need and will demonstrate how easy to grow your own lettuce. Learn the essentials of maintenance and taking care of your plants.

Part two all about soil, composting and dealing with pests in a natural non violent way.

The facilitators:
Prema has been living in the Otaki retreat centre for over a year and loves composting, there’s nothing like seeing the full cycle of “waste” transforming into beautiful rich soil.

Nava has been living in the Otaki retreat centre for over a year. She loves the natural way of living, getting produce directly from nature in a sustainable, simple way inspired her to also wanting to share what she learned with others.

Part one Tuesday 2nd March.
