Guided Walk: Heritage: CANCELLED

Join our Heritage Manager Philippa on a relaxed walk through Cornwall Park while learning about its history, important sites and stories.

The walk will start at 10am from Huia Lodge Discovery Hub and go for an hour.

Cornwall Park has been open for over 100 years, so it is no surprise that during this time it has collected many stories to tell. During our Heritage Walk you'll hear how Acacia Cottage got to the park, where the US Army 39th General Hospital was located and why there is a sunken garden in the middle of our main roundabout.

The walk is slow-paced, with a low level of fitness required. It will mainly stick to existing paths, but may venture onto grassed fields. Please dress to the weather conditions, wear suitable footwear and bring a water bottle.
