Harakeke NZ Flax Weaving Workshop

From plant to product, in this workshop you will learn the skills of weaving with NZ Flax - Harakeke.

This workshop will include the techniques of weaving and plaiting along with being taught the cultural customs of working within the sustainable practices of tikanga and the values toi raranga, the protocols of flax cutting and handling which surrounds this time honored craft).

Whatever your weaving experience, from beginners to those who wish to further their weaving skills. For intermediate weavers we will add to your skill base to develop your weaving to the next level.

You will leave with a completed, fully functioning shopping bag that will give you great satisfaction having created an object of natural beauty with sustainability in mind.
