Guest Musician
Welcome back Rick Topp. Rick is a Folk/country singer/songwriter inspired by the likes of John Prine and Townes Van Zandt, and of late with a dash of Nick Cave thrown in for good measure. Expect a mix of original songs and a tip of the hat to some pearls out of the songbook, which will be perfect for a relaxed January meet-up.

Five-Word Challenge:
Employ these five words: folk - mahi (work) - tomato - balance - spotlight: in a short piece of writing < 50 words all up and place in the Red Box of Mystery for randomly-awarded book prizes & chocolate bars.

Plus, the fliers on writing and arts events & competitions on the tables are yours to take away.

Inside.out thanks Chris Priestley and the team at Cafe One2One, and the fine people at the NZ Society of Authors (PEN NZ Inc) Te Puni Kaituhi O Aotearoa Auckland Branch, for their support of this open mic literary & music event in Tamaki Makaurau.

Bring koha for our hard-working musician/s please! With your emcee Anita Arlov. ph/txt 021 100 40 77.

See you there!
