This 2 day course has been designed to help those entering or currently engaged in the fashion, apparel and textile industries to improve their technical awareness and to gain a wider appreciation of the many facets of the ‘textile pipeline.' The course focuses on the processes and products that go into making apparel and other textile goods. We discuss fibres, yarn production, knitting and knitwear, weaving, textile colouration and printing, fabric quality, specifications and care labelling, as well as taking a look at new fabric developments including smart textiles.

This course will appeal to those entering or currently involved in textile related manufacturing, design and product development, selection, sourcing and importing, quality control and assurance, wholesalers, and retailers.
