Ivy Blue: Solo And Acoustic 2020

After a four-year absence since his last headline show in the windy city, alternative rocker Ivy Blue returns to Wellington for his first headline show since 2017. Last here for the GAME3 Festival in 2019, Ivy Blue (real name James Brodie) will be performing for one night only at the Valhalla Tavern on Wednesday September the 9th 2020 as part of a series of shows titled simply "Solo And Acoustic 2020". Brodie will be showcasing music from Ivy Blue's 7th studio album "Echoes And Silence" (mixed and released during lockdown) as well as favourite tracks and deep cuts from his entire discography, promising a unique evening in Wellington as part of this run of small and intimate shows.

Special guests for the evening will include Danica Bryant, YOLK frontman Yann Le Dorre, and Tristan Cordelia. All of these artists are highly respected within the local acoustic circuit. Bryant, who originally hails from Napier recently opened for Elton John at the 2 Napier shows on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and her new single Birthday Girl is already acquiring an impressive amount of streams on Spotify. Le Dorre's project YOLK (Undeground Music favourites) are due to release a new album later in the year, with Tristan Cordelia also due to release new music this year.
