Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with 96–115.5 cm-long sticks and a plastic ball with holes.
Floorball is also know as unihockey, sallibandy, inebandy or indoor hockey.

Cowles Stadium - 5/2 - 5-6pm
ara -City campus Sport and Recreation Centre - 10/2 - 7-8pm
ara -City campus Sport and Recreation Centre - 17/2 - 7-8pm
If you have always wanted to give it a go, if you played it at school and want to reconnect with the sport, or even if you are looking for a new sport for the new year this is the event for you.
Floorball Canterbury will be running four open sessions of floorball for anyone who is interested in having a go at the sport.
You can bring a friend or just come down and make plenty of new friends. We aiming for juniors players between age 10-17 years old. But we will also set up a floorball court for your younger siblings or friends so they can have a go as well!
There is no need for prior experience or even ability, just bring a good attitude!
