Nau mai, haere mai - Hello and welcome!

This course is for anybody who wants to practise their English. It is for people who speak English on a beginner level up to an intermediate level. If you are not sure about your level just come to the class and we will find out.

We can practise what you want/need to practise: grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, writing or reading. We can also talk about daily life and find solutions to language-related problems. Most importantly, we want to have fun together and enjoy learning and speaking English.

This course is free but we would love for you to make a small koha (donation) in return for the language lesson. It can be as much as you can/want to give.

About the teacher:
My name is Ayse and I am a qualified ESOL tutor.
I have been teaching English as a foreign language for over 5 years now. During this time I had many different students from 7 years to 82 years old, from illiterate beginners to advanced learners.
I have assisted students with IELTS and other test preparation and have created and taught a course about “English at the workplace in New Zealand”.

In my free time, I am learning languages (Te reo Maori and Turkish at the moment).
(Qualifications: Cambridge Certificate for English Language Teaching to Adults CELTA, 5+ yrs experience, Master’s degree in Japanology, English and German linguistics).
