Imagination Station

Every movie uses special effects to some extent. Join us for this two hour session to learn how you can enhance your own movies with some classic special effects techniques, such as using lines to get characters to fly, or learning how to set up your camera to create a first person shot where the camera sees what the character does.

This session will benefit beginner, intermediate and advanced movie makers who are interested in developing their storytelling and filming skills further. Beginners will first be taught the basics of film-making principles, storyboarding and LEGO specific techniques before they unleash their imaginations onto their movie making. After your session, we will email out a link to download your file so you can show it off.

We recommend this class for students aged eight and over. Younger enthusiasts are welcome, but an adult will need to accompany them and help out (at no extra charge).

This session will be run in the computer labs on Auahatanga - Creativity (level four).
