Learn to build games the hands-on way, using a free game development application used by game developers all over the world. Over the course of this workshop, you’ll become familiar with the software, delve into some programming fundamentals, and come out with a playable game. We’ll be aiming to make a 2D sidescroller similar to Jetpack Joyride or Google’s T-Rex game (in Chrome go to chrome://dino), but with your own personal twist.

This workshop is perfect for those who are interested in learning to develop their own games, looking for a gentle and fun introduction to programming, or interested in software used by industry professionals. At the end of the workshop you’ll have a playable game, a Unity project to take home and keep working on, and a basic guide to Unity.
