Up and coming New Zealand artist, Sam Monty, aged 24, debuts his original Jazz Rock music, along to self-recorded drum and bass backing tracks performed live on the electric guitar.

Sam Monty has been playing and performing since age 10 and has led a trio playing covers and originals for about 8 years before studying Jazz guitar performance at University. There he wrote a handful of jazz compositions which he is very excited to debut on this upcoming Saturday evening in Ponsonby. Such classics shall include - Doorjam, She Sells Seashells on the Seashore, Srhythm Changes, Fun Doopa, Makin' Music, Sorbent Remorse, The One and Jazz Performance Montage. If the tune titles are anything to go by, then this is not a night to be missed. See you there! Or be Square!

If you are not yet convinced, he has also been seen playing drums for "The Shambles" in 2019 and 2018 at festivals and events around New Zealand, including- Tuki Festival in Wanaka, Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne, Kings Arms, Galatos, Christchurch, San Fran in Wellington, Dunedin, Nest Fest in Hawkes Bay and in Mount Wellington. He is heard playing drum's on their recordings, "Living Today" and "Ain't it Hard" which can be found on Spotify, and "Lonely River" on youtube. This experience will assist him in recording his own drum backing tracks over which to perform on this coming evening of the 11th of July.
