Mosaic, a million little broken shards lovingly put together to create something beautiful and new… a transformation, your opportunity to make a work of art with the broken pieces left behind.
Taking inspiration from the Museum of Broken Relationships exhibition, international mosaic tutor Sandra Sesto Dekic leads you on this introductory workshop. You’ll start your own mosaic piece, learning the basics of how to create a mosaic, and pick up the skills needed to continue future projects at home.
This workshop is about expressing and releasing your emotions and creativity. It offers an opportunity to connect physically with your feelings, and transform them into an art piece that celebrates you.
All materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring something to incorporate into your mosaic piece to add your own memory (shells, pebbles, marbles, small pieces of pottery or porcelain, the wedding ring you no longer need, the key to your broken heart, that horrible ornament your ex gave you way back…).
The mosaic you create for pleasure now can be a touchstone for your future.
Suitable for ages 16 and over $45 per person, limited numbers, bookings essential.
