The delectable voice of Paul Fagamalo meets Robin Kelly’s tinkliest of ivories at The Weekly Mix, twice-weekly free concerts by local musicians, orchestras, DJs, and bands in the light-filled foyers of the Aotea Centre, and live-streamed on Facebook and the Auckland Live Digital Stage in Aotea Square.

The Weekly Mix invites inner-city workers and residents to take a break Wednesday lunchtimes and Friday evenings, and relax to the sounds of some of Tāmaki Makaurau’s finest music-makers, be they classical musicians, singer-songwriters, or indie instrumentalists.

Each week’s line-up promises an eclectic and ear-pleasing mix worthy of the Aotea Centre, home to New Zealand’s largest tiered auditorium and located in the heart of the Aotea Arts Quarter.

From DJs Bobby Brazuka and Tina Turntables to the Auckland City Brass Quintet featuring members of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, no two weeks sound the same.

Wednesday’s concerts are warmed up by $10 fresh-cooked lunches at BOX Café and Bar, while Friday’s performances roll seamlessly into the weekend, thanks to BOX’s happy hour from 4 -6 pm.

Check out each week’s performer line-ups via the link, mark your diaries, and make sure The Weekly Mix is part of your listening today!
