Make your favourite jeans (and other clothes) last longer with custom repair/mending by you! Save your jeans, save money, do a bit for the environment, and practice a little mindful meditative mending for your own peace and calm.

The focus of this course is on jeans (and similar heavy duty woven fabric clothing), not stretch or wool/knit clothing. You will repair an item of your own clothing (jeans or shorts or shirt made from denim or other heavy duty fabric) incorporating your own individual flair. You will be able to apply the skills you learn to repair other clothes at home and even fabric household items such as cushions. No sewing experience needed.

You'll need to bring a project to mend (must be non-stretch fabric): jeans, shorts, shirt or other item of denim/similar woven clothing. If you have scraps of fabric you’d like to use for your project bring these along as well. All sewing tools are provided, but you’re welcome to bring along a thimble and your own pair of scissors if you wish.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- carry out repairs on clothing made from denim or other medium/heavy woven fabric and some fabric household items
- select appropriate tools/fabric to repair an item
- apply your own creativity to your repairs if desired

Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
