Miles Ahead Trio

Let the Miles Ahead trio take you on a romp through fields of swing, blues, country and folk at the East Coasts Bays Folk Club.

You may have seen them individually before, but for this gig the three have used lockdown to work up harmonies to add sparkle to the vocals of lead singer, Miles Shepheard. During the evening Miles also promises to pull some warm winter melodies from his mandolin.

Scotswoman Fiona Moir, isn’t phased by a New Zealand winter. It’s nothing when you’ve played at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival or gone busking in Europe. She introduces us to some traditional folk sprinkled among the bluesy, country, swing set.

Alongside the other two, you’ll see Pete Parnham adding the necessary etiquette and shine as he reverts to type classy acoustic guitar, and third harmony.

This is going to be an evening not to miss.
