Celebrate 100 years of Katherine Mansfield’s classic story ‘Miss Brill’ with free readings by actor Heather O’Carroll in the Wellington Botanic Garden this spring.

Update to time & location:
Due to the weather forecast, all sessions have been moved into the Begonia House. The morning session is now 11.30am so you can enjoy a performance by the Harmonic Tree in the Begonia House which is playing from 10.30am-11.30am, then listen to the story!

"it was so brilliantly fine—the blue sky powdered with gold and great spots of light like white wine splashed over the Jardins Publiques.”

Miss Brill’s regular Sunday visit to the gardens is the highlight of her week. She delights in watching the crowd, eavesdropping on the conversations of those around her and listening to the music. She feels like the gardens are a stage and she is one of the actors. But this Sunday, something happens that might change Miss Brill forever.

A collaboration between Katherine Mansfield House & Garden and the Wellington Botanic Garden.
