You don't need a lot of space to appreciate, explore and extend nature in your own backyard.

Nature hasn’t changed … we have. This Conservation Week the concept of ‘nature through new eyes’ encourages people to build on what we saw in lockdown. To get up close and see what has always been there.

In partnership between the Department of Conservation and Far North District Libraries, there will be a talk for kids from a local DOC ranger about the wonders of nature, and local biodiversity that's just beneath our nose. This talk is best suited for school age kids from 5-8 years.

This event is part of a wide range of Conservation themed activities hosted by Far North District Libraries, happening throughout the week 15-23rd August. Contact your local library for more details.
