Dunedin Fringe

A brutally honest and honestly brutal hour of comedy

Comedian and daddy-bear gay icon Neil Thornton takes you on raucous journey through the depths of his psyche. A fast-paced hour of rants, jokes, and true stories about guilt and shame--both personal and societal--and how we can overcome it, or at least learn to laugh about it.

Neil Thornton is a very smart, very funny, and occasionally very angry comedian who has performed all over the world: New York City comedy clubs, cafes in Japan, the Edinburgh Fringe, and once at a nudist resort--not to mention all over new New Zealand, from big city gigs at The Classic to hamlets in the middle of nowhere for confused sheep farmers. His shows HANGRY AMERICANS and CYNICS GUIDE TO ENLIGHTENMENT were hits at the New Zealand Fringe Festival and NZ International Comedy Festival.
He makes occasional appearances on the television comedy news show The Project and was featured on the TV3 comedy special After Hours.

"All kinds of fantastic rolled into one hilarious bearded package.” - Gay Express

"A bold performer with intelligent material. Constantly amusing and thought-provoking." - Ruminator
