New Zealand String Quartet

For our final concert of 2020 the New Zealand String Quartet return to Warkworth with a programme celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth. Written throughout his life, Beethoven’s string quartets remain, like his symphonies, some of the most remarkable classical music ever composed.

The programme features works from Beethoven's early, middle and late periods, tracing Beethoven's evolution from brilliant classicist to daring modernist and showcasing the diversity of expression across his career.
