Taylor-Jensen is happy to present the work of Nicola Tucker - woodcuts inspired by the beauty of our country and its mountains. Here's Nic in her own words:

"After graduating from Dunedin School of Art in the early 90’s, I went on to teach for two decades. Those years took me from Invercargill to Ahipara (west of Kaitaia). My country is one of my most favourite places to travel. My love of our incredible land and connections we have for it become a powerful muse for my life as a full time artist.

I use an adapted form of Japanese woodcutting to create my pieces. They are hand carved, multi layered print. A larger piece can take up to 100 hrs to draw and carve the key block (the image layer). These contemporary pieces are a powerful way to show our love for our beautiful land. From my press to your wall."

The show runs from 10th January to 2nd February with an official opening on the 10th at 5pm with refreshments. All welcome!
