Taking a creative approach to the traditional form of ballet, these classes help children to learn technical dance skills that boost their physical capability and nurture their self-esteem.
Tutor Rose Philpott has been working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher for the past five years. Rose has a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts from Unitec (majoring in contemporary dance) and won the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship. She is a founding member of the Foster Group and has performed for Footnote NZ Dance, the World of Wearable Art and Okareka Dance Company, among other companies. She brings an in-depth knowledge of dance techniques and performance along with imagination and a sense of play to her classes.
