Orewa Lions Big Dig 2020

The Big Dig involves children searching for sticks buried in the sand which they then exchange for raffle tickets for the Grand Prize Draw of around 40 prizes – the more sticks they find the greater their chance of winning.

Proceeds from the event will go to Orewa Surf-lifesaving Club.
The event has become an iconic local tradition and the dig is complemented with a range of fun filled activities, including carnival games and rides, face painting, stalls, beach activities, local entertainment groups, tug-of-war and a variety of food stalls.

Ticket sales start 9 am.
Digging for under 5's starts @ 11am.
Digging for 5 and over starts @ 11:15am.
