Every August, the colour yellow symbolises raising awareness and funds for the one in three New Zealanders who will receive a cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.

Aratoi’s pop-up exhibition of yellow works from the collection supports the Wairarapa Cancer Society's work for people affected by cancer.

For the first time, Aratoi is joining the iconic event Paint August Yellow that has run since 1990 to help raise funds and awareness for cancer in New Zealand.

From 22 August

Finalists of the Cancer Society's School Art competition will be displayed in the window space. Two winners will be chosen to have their designs printed onto official Cancer Society greeting cards.

An activity table will also be set up in the foyer for families to drop in and make some daffodil art with all koha/donations going to Wairarapa Cancer Society.
