Painting: NZ Artist Painting Styles (For 8 to 12 Year Olds)

Join local artist and educator Maui Riley at The Arts Village for a fun day of arts education, play, learning, and inspiration.

We will have a selection of NZ artist examples, you will choose your favourite from a selection of outstanding kiwi artists including Colin McCahon, Robyn Kahukiwa, and Ralph Hotere. We will then learn about what makes them special and young artists will use some of their principles to create your own art.

Our Holiday Arts Academy classes are specifically for 8 to 12 year olds, run with a 1:12 supervision ratio and priced at $30 per day including all materials.

Bring: Sunhat, packed lunch, and water bottle.
Note: This day will include a walking adventure offsite, children will be fully supervised.
