Pride Movie

This year an LGBTQIA+ themed movie has been incorporated into the Pride Week programme. The movie is aptly named “Pride” and will screen Friday night at 6:30pm in the Bayleys Hall on Wicksteed Street.

Pride is a 2014 British ​LGBT-related​ ​historical​ ​comedy-drama​, based on a true story. The film depicts a group of ​lesbian​ and ​gay​ activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike​ in 1984, at the outset of what would become the ​Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners​ campaign. The alliance was unlike any seen before.

Rated R for language and brief sexual content.
