A rare bicycle from 1893 on display - the very last of the original front-driven style of bicycle, manufactured only for a short time, in the 1890s. The bicycle has no chain.

The Crypto Bantam bicycle bridged the gap between the Penny Farthing (considered too dangerous for the public to ride) and the pneumatic-tyred safety bicycle, the design we know today.

Supporting the NZ Cycle Classic, an international cycling race held in Wairarapa.
