Searching for the funniest new face of 2020, the RAW COMEDY QUEST is the first step for many kiwi comedians, unearthing hidden talent across the country since 1995.
The Otago Regional Finals will feature contestants from Dunedin, Queenstown and the wider Otago region competing for prize money, and the top prize of an all-inclusive trip to compete in the Grand National Finals.
Launched in 1995, the RAW COMEDY QUEST is New Zealand's biggest comedy competition, with $2500 in prize money, the glory and promises of further work as a professional comedian to be won. Many previous winners have found professional success as career comedians, while others honed a few good jokes for the office Christmas party. But most importantly all of them have faced humanity's greatest fear... "Public Speaking", with the added expectation of being funny.
