Repair Café Ōtaki

Repairing something instead of throwing it out and reviving the spirit of fixing something which is no longer working or is broken will help all of us, not only saving money but reducing waste. This is your chance of getting items which no longer work or need mending fixed. Expert volunteers with repair skills in all kinds of areas along with the tools and materials to repair will be on hand to help and show you. You'll find workstations for sewing & mending, small furniture repairs, small electrical household appliances, bicycle maintenance, sharpening your knives and tools, fashion jewellery, toys plus a workshop for kids.

Nothing to repair? Come along and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee & cake, learn something new, lend a hand with someone else’s repair job or browse the Swapping Table. Bring an item to add to the Swap-Table - it might just be the one somebody else is looking for.
