Wellington Art-Rock quintet Sheeps announce a last-minute headline show with support from London-based Wellington-expats Sparkling Duet.

Sheeps
It's been some time since Wellington's Sheeps have taken the stage, after spending the latter half of 2019 working on their debut album with respected sound engineer/producer James Goldsmith. Consisting of guitarists Dean Blackwell (ex-Polter), Simon Blackwell, & Grace Baker, bassist Blain Fitzpatrick (King Oyster, Laniakea, ex-Funkacybin) & drummer Thomas Friggens (ex-Brockaflower, ex-John The Baptist, Seamouse).

Sheeps take their cues from a wide variety of influences: from the tortured falsetto of Radiohead's Thom Yorke, to the tribal tom grooves of Tool's Danny Carey, the intricate finger-picking of Opeth's Mikael Akerfeldt, and the dense, textural soundscapes of Post-Rock bands like Jakob & Mogwai.

Sparkling Duet + 1
Sparkling Duet is one of several projects formed by Wellington expats Shaun Blackwell (Night Shades, Haxon, ex-Fly My Pretties, ex-John The Baptist) and Clare McNamara (Night Shades, Haxon). Eschewing the raucous punk energy of Night Shades and the dark weirdness of Haxon, the pair's third creative outlet is a vessel for their shared love of the Surf Rock instrumental. Usually performing as a duo, they will be joined on this show by drummer .

Please note that this is an early show.
Set times will be strictly adhered to.

7:00pm - Doors
8:00pm - Sparkling Duet + 1
9:00pm - Sheeps
