We are delighted to host this beautiful new collection of 8 original paintings by much loved Waikato artist, Jane Crisp, along with a small selection of her newly Released Limited Edition Prints.

"Small Treasures" is an intimate series created during New Zealand's lockdown when we were asked to “remain in our bubbles” to prevent the spread of the world wide pandemic, Covid 19.

Initially struggling to stay creative during the first few weeks of lockdown, Jane temporarily put down her brushes for gardening tools and started preparing her Winter vege garden. A few resident Piwakawaka kept her company and she was able to photograph them to eventually capture them in paint.

Jane completed not only a striking collection but she also managed to capture the essence of a time when we had to stop and think about our current situation.

"Small Treasures" are big reminders to not lose sight of what matters most. Like beacons in the dark Jane's birds are reminders of the importance of our natural world and to live a more simple and pure life in close connection with Mother Earth.
