There is nothing like a kiwi summer's day out at the races!
Bring the family to Ellerslie Racecourse along with your favourite summer accessories – jandals, deck chairs, sun umbrellas, shorts and a picnic lunch* - and enjoy the great outdoors in a relaxing and fun atmosphere.
If you're not up to packing the picnic, the team at Ellerslie can cater for all your food and beverage needs with plenty of delicious and hassle-free food options available on course.
Children will be kept entertained between races with free use of a bouncy castle and swingball games. Plus, racegoers are welcome to take a walk around the stables to get up close to the stars of the show - the horses.
All bars close shortly after the last race.
