Roger’s paintings explore his experiences of what he terms ‘a state of flow’ which he believes humans experience when people are fully immersed and focused. These paintings seek to represent these moments, which Roger’s describes as “beautiful, with a sense of wonder, energy and timelessness.”
First, he does so by means of deep personal introspection, then through the rapid physical translation of emotional energy into a chaotic frenzy of brushstrokes and colour.
