Learn how to operate either Bokashi or worm farms, what the differences are, who they suit best, how they can complement your lifestyle. Presented by Richard Croad from ECHB.

Environment Centre Hawkes Bay is proud to bring you ‘Sustainable Backyards 2020’, a month long programme that highlights and celebrates the range of environmental initiatives across the Bay.

Sustainable Backyards connects people with nature via low cost, no cost or koha events and inspires by providing opportunities to grow sustainability in our community. There’s a range of events for everyone including gardening workshops, tours of estuaries, visits to sustainable gardens and the rocky shore as well as presentations about how to make your home and business more environmentally friendly.

2020 marks the third year we have hosted Sustainable Backyards and we look forward to helping you protect the environment. To find out about our events, visit Environment Centre Hawkes Bay’s Eventfinda page, our Facebook (Environment Centre Hawkes Bay) or visit www.environmentcentre.org.nz. Or just give us a call on 06-870 4942- we’d love to hear from you!
