Takutai Kāpiti: Climate Change and Our Coast Summit and Community Event.

Come along and enjoy our Summit and community event – combining a day of entertainment, food and family fun with the opportunity to find out more about climate change and its effect on our coastline.

The Summit launches a significant community engagement project that aims to encourage and empower our communities to become more aware of the impacts of climate change and sea level rise and to take part in developing solutions and pathways for adapting to coming change.

From 10am-12pm Summit Conference: Hear from national and local leaders and climate experts on climate change, coastal adaptation and building resilient communities. This event is free to attend but places are limited so register below.

From 2pm-3pm Summit community event: Join us for entertainment for all ages, music, stalls, food trucks and informal opportunities to learn more about climate change on our coast and how to become involved in the project. (No need to book for this event - just come along!)
